[Today I'll show you a part of my life, something that makes me very happy. The bedside I'm going to show you now is the first bedside I had in my first bedroom. I think that it's at home since I was three or four years old and it's still with me, but now, in my house.]
[Today I'll show you a part of my life, something that makes me very happy. The bedside I'm going to show you now is the first bedside I had in my first bedroom. I think that it's at home since I was three or four years old and it's still with me, but now, in my house.]
[As you can see the bedside was very dark and contributed to the room, not too large, with much visual weight. I was thinking about it from several time ago. I think to clean, sand and give it a good coat of varnish but for one thing or other, it was delayed. This summer I decided to get with it. As I said, at first, I thought to leave it in its original color but you know that I heart white and so I thought a coat of paint could help to refresh it.]
[Following the good advices, from Belen Cossio who helped me a lot and has a wonderful blog, I managed to find a paint that, without mixing with any other, gave me the desired colour. I was looking for an eggshell colour so I got a couple of layers of an acrylic paint called Naples Yellow Light from Amsterdam. I'm very, very pleased with the result!]

[After washing, sanding and give it a coat of Gesso (primer), I gave it two paint coats and, finally, cleaned the handle bedside. I must admit that I apply so much paint in the drawer and now I cannot open it but as it's a sidetable in a guest room and the guests do not use the drawers in order to not forget it so... I leave it this way! hehehe ... For my first B & A is not bad, right? : P]

Ñ a m, ñ a m, ñ a m... [without translation]
[Salamanca today celebrates the feast of the Virgen de la Vega and some, like me, their third wedding anniversary :D. As today was a special day, I bring you a "special" entry that, if you like, will be repeated more often. One of my main hobbies in addition to decoration and DIY (lol) is cooking. I cook from many, many years ago and I think that I can manage myself very well in a kitchen (lol) ... : D Also, a few years ago, I became to read great cooking blogs like the ones you can find on my blogroll (suggestions are also welcome) and this helps me to improve my portfolio with lots of recipes and tricks to learn ...]
[As I said, today I had to celebrate so many things so I decided to try a fantastic, quick and easy tiramisu recipe I found it in MadebyGirl blog. Will not know if it's my imagination but this girl seems to have an "almost" perfect life. I admire her.. this is the truth ... I also decided to taste a savory dish, a wonderful baked eggplant from Silvia's blog, Mi Dulce Tentación (¡sorry! only for spanish readers). The recipes here and here. I promise that, next time, if you like this new section, the photos will be mine;)]

hazlo tu mismo: alfombra dunkerque [d.i.y]

[Today I show you the easiest form to create a beautiful rug DIY. I saw it in AD Spain last edition and suddenly discover that, maybe, I could contribute to the blog with and easy and cozy D.I.Y. The rug name is Dunkerque and belongs to the new Jean Paul Gaultier colletion for Roche Bobois. (click here to see it) . So, for our DIY, all we need is a straight rug in blue and white (click here) and four red pompom (if you click here you can see a great tutorial) and the result will be somethihng like this... It's not great and easy???]

C u r i o s i d a d e s {C u r i o s i t i e s }
¡Toma!
{Internet gives you many surprises, when you believe that your home decorative items are only "yours" because, well, they already have a certain age and have always been there, suddenly, one day, you find them on the Internet. And. .. no, you don't find them here right next, no, you find them across the pond in the wonderful blog by Eddie Ross ... Yes, yes ... The very same editor of Martha Stewart! ... I't isn't great!}

{My mother has the fish you see in the picture but candlestick version. I can imagine them as in the photo, when fuchsia peonies in the garden of my parents are in full swing and, of course, I can not think of anything better to wear a table in the spring! I promise pictures}

Una columna en mi salón { A column in my livingroom}

[It will seem crazy that now we all look for open, airy and simple spaces but, to me, I'd love to have a column in my living room to dress it as in the photo below. Not to mention the "total white" atmosphere that is only broken by the black frames or the kind of "swing" so special that hangs from the ceiling ... Ten to Anita Kaushal and her "A place I call home."]
